A chapter from the story of Ash & Prose:
For as long as I can remember, I have been a maker. My hands have always found purpose in creating something from nothing—whether it's with a paintbrush, a needle and thread, or simply a sketchbook. I’ve always been a very creative person; I love to draw, paint, sew, and craft, and I have since I was very young. It’s always been my way of exploring the world and bringing a little bit of magic into it.
At the same time, I’ve been a lifelong reader. Books like The Lord of the Rings, Eragon, and countless others really influenced me throughout my life. They taught me the power of a good story to transport you to another world and really spark your imagination.
And it was in the space between these two passions—the joy of creating and the power of storytelling—that a single idea sparked. A flash of creative inspiration.
The Process: Crafting a Story 📚
I wanted to create something that was both beautiful and functional, but that also tells a story and sparks the imagination. My mission was simple: to make unique and beautiful things that do more than just exist. I wanted to craft experiences, to bottle up a memory or a narrative and offer it to someone else.
That’s where the name Ash & Prose was born. “Prose” for the stories that so often fill my mind and inspired me to create. “Ash” for the material, the wax, and the spark of fire that brings each of these stories to life.
And with that, the mission was set: to craft high-quality, artisan candles, jewelry, clothing and accessories that are not just beautiful objects, but chapters in an ongoing narrative. I love the nature and idea of duality in both life and literature.

Every single candle I make is a colorful and unique blend of my passions—the tangible artistry of a one of a kind handmade object and the magic of a story waiting to be told. The "Pick Your Poison" line is one testament to this, taking beautiful concepts and giving them a sophisticated, nuanced life.
